Duplo PFi Blade B3+
Smart and professional solution for flatbed cutting, creasing or perforating.
For example, using a flatbed vacuum table and digital control, the Duplo PFi Blade B3+ produces short-run packaging, custom cards and labels with no special tools required. The PFi blade cuts, creases or produces a kiss cut of substrates including paper, laminating film, stickers and plastic sheets at up to 800mm per second, up to 1.3mm thick. It is a cost-effective and versatile solution for prototype design and short-run production.
No tools required
Using the PFi Blade Connect software, the triple tool head follows the lines outlined on the cut file. The material to be cut is held in place on the flatbed vacuum table on the conveyor belt as the tool head moves across the entire sheet. The PFi Blade B3+ comes with four cutting tools and a creasing wheel. Up to 3 tools can be used in the tool holder. Set them to cut intricate shapes and crease fold lines to prevent toner from cracking on the package and folded areas.
Simple job setup
Create the cut file in vector programs such as Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW to define the desired cuts and creases. Export the file in a supported format and then upload it to the PFi Connect software. Prepare the prints by adding registration marks to each corner of the sheet, as well as a QR code. During the process, the CCD registration system reads the QR code and automatically selects the corresponding cutting file. It also reads the registration marks and compensates for any image shifts to ensure that each sheet is finished accurately.
